OUR STORY
Fox & Sparrow Tattoo was built from the ground up by us -- husband and wife Tattooers, Joshua and Samantha Chatwin -- in early 2022. With combined experience of over 25 years tattooing between us, we decided to leave a tattoo studio we co-owned and create a space where art-focused design is fused with a deep respect for the rich history and technical craft of tattooing while making customer service a priority in a clean, welcoming environment.
We bought and completely rehabbed the dilapidated building at 3604 N Wheeling Ave making the beautiful space that originally became home to Fox & Sparrow Tattoo. Opening June 11th of 2022 with a party of friends, family, and our amazing clients, we hit the ground running with Sean King and Laura Lynn rounding out our crew and won the gold medal in Muncie's Quest for the Best our first year in operation. We've hosted a solid group of Guest Tattoo Artists from across the state and country, held multiple Tattoo Flash Events, and took on an apprentice, Ethan Jester, who in June 2024 completed his apprenticeship, becoming a full member of the crew.
In January of 2024 we had the opportunity to purchase a historic storefront in the heart of Downtown Muncie allowing us to serve our clients from a central location and take part in the variety of events that take place downtown every year. Fox & Sparrow Tattoo opened at 304 S. Walnut St on May 2nd 2024 with a First Thursday Arts Walk tattoo flash event in benefit of local animal shelter, ARF, making 82 tattoos and raising over $2,000 to help the animals of Delaware County.
REVIEWS
"This is the best place around to get a tattoo done! All the artists are amazing. I have had 3 done by Samantha and I love her style. The shop is fresh and new and extremely clean! You will not be disappointed in checking this place and the artists out! Great experience!"
